Starter, Growth and Portfolio differ by active vendor capacity. Prequal adds the broader subcontractor packet: W-9s, licenses, OSHA 300A summaries, EMR letters, financial statements, and contract-to-requirements extraction. Subcontractors upload free through the same no-login link. They never buy a network membership to work with you.

How to compare COI tracking software prices

A monthly headline is not the whole cost. Ask whether corrected certificates create another charge, whether team seats or requirement templates are limited, whether endorsement review is included at all, and whether the quoted price requires annual billing or paid implementation.

Also compare the work left to your team. A low-cost expiration tracker is the right choice when you only need dates. If your contracts require additional insured status, waiver of subrogation, primary and non-contributory wording or completed-operations forms, include the cost of a person opening and reading those pages every renewal.
