Endorsement review, explained
The certificate face asserts; the endorsement pages prove. CoverWarden reads every page behind the ACORD 25 in the same pass — the review other tools either skip or route to human teams.
What the review finds
- Waiver of subrogation: an attached waiver endorsement (CG 24 04, WC 00 03 13 or equivalent) or unambiguous waiver wording. A marked SUBR WVD box counts as present, flagged with that as the evidence.
- Primary & non-contributory: P&NC wording in an endorsement (e.g. CG 20 01) or the description of operations.
- Additional insured forms: the ISO form numbers actually attached — CG 20 10, CG 20 37 and others — listed exactly as printed.
- Completed operations: whether completed-ops additional insured coverage (CG 20 37) is present.
Evidence, not vibes
Every finding carries a short verbatim quote or form number from the document. When an owner, lender or auditor asks 'how do you know the waiver is real?', the answer is on screen. Findings can be true (found), false (clearly absent) or unknown (illegible/ambiguous) — unknowns never silently pass.
Tell vendors to attach the pages
The most common gap is a certificate sent without its endorsement pages. The chase emails and the sample-request wording both ask for endorsements explicitly; certificates that arrive without required endorsements show that as a specific issue so the fix is obvious.
